Fast moving storms have done in the trout streams again. Rivers in Pierce County are up and muddy. I will look at the water later today.
Floated the St. Croix yesterday. OMG. More on that later.

nice to meet you today at the F bridge. Nothing to report, other than what you saw. I fished for a bit, but it was just too cloudy. Rescued one young lady kayaker who missed the takeout at F. Her boyfriend was close behind, and thought he would just paddle her kayak back upstream while she took the trail. I let him try…
Just finished a relaxing evening on the Upper Kinni at the swinging gate. Fish WERE eagerly biting prince nymphs and San Juan worms. Water clarity was only about a foot but much better than the lower Kinni at the F bridge.
Good News
The waters are calming down. I fear the lower will be somewhat off color for a while yet. I will be out scouting later today. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for the report Ben. Good to meet you as well. A fair number of recreational kayakers who have very little experience out there. The lower river is normally a reasonably easy ride for the inexperienced boater but after these last few high water events there are a few dangerous sweepers on the river that are difficult to avoid if you are not an experienced paddler.
